ebu Burkhardt Gmbh was set up by taking over the business field Forming Technology from the former Burkhardt Group in January 2012. In May 2014 the company's name has been changed to ebu Umformtechnik GmbH.

Jiangsu Xuzhou Metalforming Machine Group Co., Ltd. （Xuduan）becomes shareholder of ebu Umformtechnik.

Since June 21 ebu Umformtechnik GmbH is successfully certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and awarded the  LGA InterCert Certificate.
